🎯 Hunt for crypto activists

Canada's police department has reported that major cryptocurrency activists have been increasingly targeted by robbers over the past year. The criminals knew in advance that the victims of the attack owned significant amounts of digital assets, Canadian law enforcement officials said.

The attackers managed to find out the residence, after which they attacked crypto activists in their own homes. Police did not give details about the amount of stolen cryptocurrencies, but nothing is known to have been recovered. While earlier scammers were hunting for crypto enthusiasts' emails to try out a phishing attack, now they are actively collecting the physical addresses of crypto activists' residences. Having penetrated the house, the intruders intimidated and took personal information from the victims, which later allowed them to gain access to crypto assets.

Ripple is exploding

The XRP/USDT spot trading pair has experienced impressive growth over the past two days, with trading volume exceeding 180 million XRP and total transaction value exceeding 130 million USD.

According to analysts, XRP futures are at a two-year high, and the sum of open positions has been growing rapidly since July 13. This week, the positive trend continued, and open interest reached a historic peak of $1.23B.

Some experts on Twitter explain this abnormal growth dynamics by the fact that Fednow, the American version of CDBC, is expected to be launched next week. Many speculate that Ripple may turn out to be somehow technically related to Fednow. At least it is known for sure that CDBCs in some countries will use Ripple technologies.

The LTC/BTC chart below gives a perfect representation of Litecoin's relative performance against the leading cryptocurrency. A rising line means that LTC is gaining against BTC, while a falling line means that LTC is losing against BTC.

Several conclusions can be drawn from this chart:

• LTC/BTC has always experienced some kind of pumping in the last 6 months, up to and including halving. Moreover, the value of LTC/BTC reaches a maximum long before the halving occurs.

• After halving the value of LTC, the token's relative value to Bitcoin (until now) has never continued to rise. In fact, it was the start of a very long bearish trend.

Therefore, FieryTrading analysts have suggested that the LTC halving will not have a positive impact on Litecoin's value against BTC.

*Any technical analysis in the long run cannot accurately predict the movement because now is a very tough market and the news can swing currencies in all directions.
